September is Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month.

Gynecologic cancer is any cancer that starts in a woman’s reproductive organs. Gynecologic cancers begin in different places within a woman’s pelvis, which is the area below the stomach and in between the hip bones.
There are five main types of Gynecological Cancer, including Cervical, Ovarian, Uterine, Vaginal, and Vulvar.
It is estimated that more than 80,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with gynecologic cancer each year.
