Kidney cancer is a cancer that forms in the kidneys. The main job of the kidneys is to filter your blood and help the body get rid of excess water, salt, and waste products. The two most common types of kidney cancer are renal cell carcinoma and urothelial cell carcinoma.
It is estimated that roughly 65,150 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with kidney cancer each year.
