Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. Each year, 25% of all deaths that occur in the U.S. are due to heart disease. Key risk factors for heart disease include, but are not limited to, Americans with high blood pressure, high LDL cholesterol, and/or Americans who smoke. Additionally, diabetes, obesity and a poor diet can all put people at a higher risk for heart disease.
